Canberra Spine Centre

Are there times when your body lets you know that it needs some help?
You deserve to get the most out of life, at Canberra Spine Centre we can help.

Whether it is neck pain, headaches, back pain, tiredness, disease or other ailments, you don’t have to endure discomfort.

Fortunately, as chiropractors in the Canberra area, we understand the vital relationship between your spine, your nervous system and your total health and wellness.

Chiropractic care is about delivering the balance and freedom to your body through your nervous system so you can appreciate healthy living.

Often, without you being aware of it, spinal misalignments (or subluxations) are playing a role in your discomfort or symptoms and affecting your quality of life. Left untreated, these subluxations can hamper your movement, cause chronic pain, restrict your comfort and limit your health potential.

Dr Jon Powderly – Canberra Chiropractor

Dr Jon Powderly has always had a passion for sport, exercise and health. It was a gymnastics injury as a teenager that first prompted Jon to visit a chiropractor. The impact of this experience led to him becoming a chiropractor himself. After a foray into physical education teaching, then working alongside physiotherapists for 12 months in a large Melbourne hospital. Dr Powderly began studying chiropractic at R.M.I.T. in Melbourne in 1990.

After completing the 5-year full time degree, Dr Powderly graduated in 1995 with the ‘clinical excellence’ award for his work in student clinic. The next 5 years were spent working in over 20 different clinics in 5 different countries. While living in Barcelona, he set up a volunteer clinic in a drug-rehabilitation centre that is still running to this day thanks to the great work of local chiropractors.

In the year 2000, Dr Powderly returned to Australia, and after 2 years of working in a variety of clinics, moved to Canberra to be with his wife, Salena, opening the Canberra Spine Centre in 2002.
