Dr Garritt Lam
Dr. Garritt has a Bachelor of Medical Science Degree from the University of New South Wales, as well as a postgraduate degree in Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Garritt worked as a Pathology lab scientist but felt he was missing out on the experience of seeing and helping his patients improve their health. He then discovered the answer in chiropractic, a profession in which he could promote optimal health and wellness naturally and where he could get to know his patients personally and see the smiles on their faces as their quality of life improved.
Since attaining his Master of Chiropractic, he has spent five busy years practicing as an associate chiropractor in Sydney and then Gladstone, looking after a vast number of patients and conditions; including treating athletes who were participating in various events around Sydney, such as The Cancer Council Relay for Life, Regatta Centre Triathlon and Oxfam Trailwalker.
Having grown up in several countries, Dr. Garritt is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesian. He can also communicate in daily conversation Cantonese and has a good understanding of Mandarin; he hopes this will help to reach out to more communities so that they will be able to benefit from what Chiropractic can offer.
Dr Garritt and his family have moved to Canberra to join The Canberra Spine Centre and are hoping to settle down for years to come as he sees Canberra as an ideal environment to raise the family.
In his down time, he loves to watch and play futsal/soccer and his favourite team is AC Milan. Another one of his favourite hobbies is to play boardgames as it encourages communication and interaction in the group, and is a great tool for having a great night.
